When I was ...I never met a pansy I didn't like. When I was a child, Miss Ann and Miss Susan, maiden ladies, let me pick bouquets from their pansy beds. I had no idea that it was good to pick them to prolong bloom, I just thought they liked me and knew I loved the little pansy faces.<br /><br />Now I've learned that violas fare better in our hot climate and bloom through the winter almost continuously. It's not quite time here to plant, but I do look forward to them. The purples are my fav, but the yellows make a better show at a distance.
