The arrival of August just reminds me that summer is moving along much to fast.
Lord Baltimore giant ten inch blooms are so lovely.
This bush will spread to 3 to 4 feet and up to 6 to 8 feet tall.
It has stood up to several moves about my garden and has been very hardy here in the hills.
His poor leaves are chewed from the beetles sadly. I will be glad to see the Japanese Beetles gone. They are busy chewing on some of the occasional rose blooms.
This perennial bush is hardy in zones 5 through 9.
Loves a sunny location in the garden.
Lady Baltimore is a pink version of this bush and I have wanted to add it to the garden one day.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and week ahead.
Happy Gardening,
Lona

I like Lord Baltimore. Such a nice solid color for late summer.
I was about to think my dark pink with red center Rubis Hibiscus was not going to bloom this year. When the fence was put up it blocked a lot of the sun from it. But at last it has blooms. I like the deep red color.
Wow, what a huge lovely hibiscus bloom.

What an appropriate name for a Royal bloom. So pretty with it's huge blossoms.
Enjoy your Sunday,
Balisha
Wow this is really big, it's like a plate. I am sure it will thrive in our tropical climate, where hibiscus are just planted and left on their own. I've also posted the old variegated one last week.
Hi Lona Dear,
Sorry I've been away so long. Wow. You've got a beauty there, don't you? I am in awe of the Lady. I bought a Luna Hibiscus earlier this year. It's about two feet tall and has lots of buds but no blooms yet. I am hopeful. My soil is so dry in the summer, despite my watering efforts and enormous water bill, that I put it in a large pot with a saucer so I can keep it watered. I would love to have one as big as yours. I might have to look in to this. :) I hope you're doing well.
Every time I see the photo's your camera takes..it makes me yearn for one like it! One day..I hope!
Super marvellous, Lona!! Gorgeeeousss!!!
The Cardinal Flowers are such an attractive color. Can't wait for mine to bloom.
