Transformation of One Morning

Yesterday morning's sunrise took on many transformations
and colors. Shades of purples and pinks to amber and gold's.
It is amazing that they come twenty-four hours before we
got rain and then snow.
There must be something to the "red skies in the morning"
saying.
I have taken so many pictures of sunrises and sunsets
to post that some may be getting tired of them and
also they have nothing to do with gardening, but I find
them fascinating and each one is different because of the
different cloud formations and the rising or setting of the
sun upon them. So please bear with me for posting another
set of pictures of a gloriously changing sunrise.

Welcoming Amber Skies

This is what greeted us this morning in the Hills.
It was glorious to see the amber skies of the sun
rising. With warm weather coming in and the promise
of melting ice it was more than welcome.
The sun did not last long with clouds and strong
winds taking its place but it remains warm and
that is what our area needs right now. With a packed
layer of ice on the ground it is very slick out yet.
Going to the bird feeders takes on a whole new
adventure in the various body contortions one can
go through while trying to stay on your feet.

The clouds threatened its rising but could not
stop the brilliant show that unfolded.

Do My Eyes Deceive Me !!!

Could that really be the Sun coming up to finally shine
through all of the ice, snow and clouds of the storm we
have been dealing with since Wednesday?
Will you stay around long enough to melt some ice?
You sure are a welcome sight!

It looks like it may stay for a while to make a the
ice glitter like a million diamonds through the trees.
I love Blue Skies !!

The Dawning of a New Year
