I Don't Even Know Your Name

I had a new visitor to the bird feeder this morning
and I do not know what kind of bird it is or its name.
Looking through my usual research information did
not reveal the identity either.
Does anyone know who this beauty is that paid a
visit to my Ohio backyard?

UPDATE!!!

Thanks to all of you : Jan, Barbara, Richard &Kim
who were able to help me with the
identification of my new bird.
An Female Eastern Towhee!!
The females are brown on the back, while the males are black.

That means I have a pair staying around the backyard.
I did spot a male and was able to get a picture and
find the identity of it and write a post about the Male Eastern Towhee.

Thanks Everyone for educating me!

I'm not a birder at all, the closest as far as shading goes might be a Rufous-sided Towhee? Really sweet photos!

He is just so adorable, I just want to squeeze him;)
I am almost certain this little guy is an Eastern Towhee.

and, Lona, in the male Eastern Towhee, the brown you see on this female, is replaced by black.

Spooky asked me If I could help ID the bird but see Jan already did it. It's a female Eastern Towhee.

So pretty! I want a Towhee at my feeder! I hope that you don't mind that I asked Richard to pop over. I see Jan has already answered your question, too. Great photos, Lona!

Hey, I guessed it was a towhee before I finished reading the post. Guess I'm getting better at knowing my birds. We get the Spotted Towhee's here. Sure is pretty in the snow.

Aww, I was all set to get out my Birds of Ohio Field Guide to figure it out. A towhee it is! Perhaps these are the chubby birds that filled the berry-laden trees at work recently. They appeared to be robins, but I've never seen robins in such a large bunch before, and they seemed to have fatter tummies than robins. They stayed there in the trees all day, and when I came out from work 6 hours later, the berries were gone but the birds were still there. Wish I would have had my camera.

Glad you discovered the identity of the beautifull garden visitor. You have great photos I enjoyed seeing your side of the world.Just wet and windy here in Ireland but I have started setting seeds for the new season.

I'm glad you got your bird identified. I like the pics. I haven't been able to get any decent bird pics. I also haven't seen any besides sparrows, and an occasional dove.

Excellent pictures. I'm glad you got some help because I've never seen a bird like that before.

Lona, she's lovely. We've had an eastern male towhee a couple times in the yard before but I haven't seen a female. What a pretty little thing.
