Maybe ----

Maybe if I took down the signs it would
all just go away ---

Update: The sun is shining so bright today, with warm winds coming
in overnight. It is already melting the ice from trees and power lines.
It is raining ice now and my tree limbs and plants are trying to spring back.
It is amazing to watch my bird feeders that hang from the Maple tree
limb

rise back into the air that were practically dragging on the ground.
We got our phones back on last night and just about 6,000 in this area
are still waiting for their electricity. With 50 trees down across the highway
and lines in the section of Ash Cave area alone I see how lucky we were here
to have electricity out for only 5 to 6 hours.

Now if we can get the Ground Hog to cooperate tomorrow :-)

I know, I know Spring will come when it comes.

Oh but I like the signs! Then again after looking at all your snow/ice posts I can certainly understand why you just want it all to go away. At least it makes for some beautiful photos! Kim

I don't know what happened to that last comment, it just simply disapeared.

Glad to hear that you are having a bit a a turnaround in the weather. This has been a brutal winter for many regions.

At least now that it's February we can say spring begins next month. Maybe you need a "Welcome Spring" sign instead. I hope you continue to get some more sun.

I love all the snowmen decorations, I'm all decked out with snowmen too. But I think removing them isn't going to help!!! They are cute.I have an old sled that is a great idea to paint it... Great Job

I had the same thought, so I packed away all the snowpeople decorations today. Now if only I could pack up all the snow and send it somewhere :)

Kim; I just want it to all go away now.:-)

Jen: Things are getting better and about all of the ice is off of the trees now.Yeah!

Catherine; Oh, good idea and I do have a Spring sign. Do you suppose it would work:-)

Lynn; I was getting desperate to get rid of this ice. Last year we had a lot of snow and one day I went out on the porch to discover someone had turned my sign over.

Linda : we are sending all are snow to Australia where they need it to cool them down and for water.

If only it were that easy. Sigh. I hope this winter doesn't linger like last winter did. Not that I don't like winter, I just prefer spring. I think I've got my garden plans pretty much figured out now, though I've still got plenty of time to change my mind.

I hope everyone gets their power back soon, and it will be great when you take those signs down so spring can feel safe to come. ;o)

I don't think it worked Lona, winter is still here! Darn! How do you root your roses? I have to admit I was only successful that one time. Snap off a piece from the tallest part of the plant, dip the end in rooting hormone, stick in the ground and cover with a glass jar. When you see foliage, take off the jar and let it grow! I sure wish it had worked when we moved here. I brought along several cuttings from my old home, but none of them took here. Boo hoo.
