One of these days I have to get tough, and brave the winter weather long enough to see the Hocking Hills! You say Ash Cave is a good, easy walk? I don't want to slip and slide around steep hiking trails or steps for a winter visit, that's for summer.

Stunning captures, Lona!! It's been many years since I've been in your area...but I do remember that it is beautfiful. Your sunrise photo on the side bar...is that from this past Saturday? That's when my latest sunrise photos were from...such vivid colors!

Beautiful country you live in. I admire you getting out into it with the cold weather. I need to do more walking this time of year. I miss being able to get out without all the layers and paraphernalia. You inspire me to get up and go. Lovely pictures.

Breathtaking!!! Where is it, exactly? It's so beautiful, I'd love to be transported there right now. I'll put on my winter jacket, hat and gloves, boots (almost forgot:) ) and, here I come....

Jenny; no they are just trickles off water running when it is very wet or raining. Thanks for stopping by.

Garden4Joy; It was gorgeous and well worth braving the cold.

Pam; it had warmed up to 21 the day I took the pictures but at least the sun was shining. Thanks for dropping by.

Robin; It is an easy level walk into the cave area, then there are steps to the top if you want to climb up. These were not of Ash Cave but of an area close by it that I like to go to.

lostlandscpe; it does look prehistoric doesn't it. Thanks for coming by.

Aeri-el; hey, you can take it girl! :)

spookydragonfly;yes, weren't they beautiful last weekend! I cannot get over all of the doves on the one limb. Great capture.

Ann; thank you. I braved it because I knew what would be in store for me in picture taking this time of year. Thanks for coming by.

Jan; it is in the Hocking Hill's State Park area near Logan, Ohio. There is so much great scenery around here. At my age it is hard to get to some of it now. As the crow flies it is two mile from my front yard.
