April Showers

It has been raining here in the hills for the last three
days and the air is damp and cool.
I want to be in the flower beds but it is not looking good
until Thursday so my flowers will have to wait.
I love to take pictures of flowers with rain drops on them
so these are some from my files.

"The roofs are shining from the rain,
The sparrows twitter as they fly,
And with a windy April grace
The little clouds go by.
Yet the back yards are bare and brown
With only one unchanging tree--
I could not be so sure of Spring
Save that it sings in me."

Lona your pictures with all of the rain drops on them are absolutely beautiful. Thanks so much for showing them to us!

Oh, beautiful! And how well I know that feeling of wanting to be out and doing but kept in by rain. The joy of a greenhouse, however rickety!

Flowers really do look so fresh with rain on them. Very pretty pictures!
Hope the rain stops so you can play in your garden!

Hi Lona- soaking wet they are beautiful. No rain here but an awful lot of wind messing up my plans. Hope it is better soon!

Ah raindrops, and roses, and flowers. Is there nothing more beautiful? Lovely photos.

I think someone once described me as obsessed with raindrops. It must be true, I love photos with moisture.

Hi Lona...Rain, snow, rain, snow...let's hope it's all rain the rest of April! I've done absolutely nothing in my beds yet. Beautiful captures... I too, enjoy the raindrops on the blooms!

I do love the effect of raindrops on flowers, but enough already with three days of rain! I'm ready for the sun, how about you?
