Another amaryllis is in bloom now and I think it
will be my favorite.
Amaryllis Picotee was planted in the same flower
pot as Ragtime.
It is about 4 inches taller than Ragtime so it worked
out well planting them together.
I love the white blooms of it with the touches of red
along the bloom edges.
Since it is my first experience
with amaryllis bulbs I am amazed at the big blooms
on the flowers.
I also learned that it only takes them about three
weeks to put on blooms so I would want to wait a
week longer to start them the next time.
I have not decided if I like the green center of the
blooms though.
Needless to say I had to snap many pictures of them
and at every angle , LOL.
I hope you will enjoy the beauty of Amaryllis Picotee.
Happy Indoor Gardening Everyone!will be my favorite.

Amaryllis do have large beautiful blooms. I love the dainty-ness of this one!!
Lona,
This is a beauty, much better than the red ones! I've a new camellia that has pink edges like this.
I love it! I would never have thought to put them in the same pot, they look pretty together.
I loved the pictures. It is beautiful. Helen
Beautiful!!
Lona, I love it. Brilliant! just the way it is.
I can only hope that mine bloom so beautifully! I've still got just stalks. Your macro pics are incredible!
The Amaryllis Picotee is just gorgeous with the trim around the edges. You sure did a great job taking pictures - you must have stuck a lamp behind it - It looks see through, so delicate and what a great idea to plant them together.
Hi Lona~~ Beautiful. It's like God has taken a paint brush and ever so lightly touched the petal's edges with red. ... I'm looking forward to seeing your pink poinsettia and I'm tickled PINK that you thought of me. :)
Picotee is simply beautiful. Putting it on my list for next year, some double reds, too. I will have to start a special bank account to finance all the amaryllis on my list.
oh! I did enjoy, thank you.

Hi Lona! As soon as I saw the title I couldn't wait to see the pictures. You did a beautiful job photographing 'Picotee.' I purchased one of these this fall also but mine has been slow to emerge. I finally see a little green tip but that's after a month of sitting in my makeshift greenhouse. I think it's gorgeous and I like the green center. There's something so pretty about the red edging around the white petals. The little green in the throat makes it Christmasy too! Enjoy the blossoms ~ and great idea to plant two together.
Those are beautiful.
I love all your macro shots of this porcelain beauty. Merry Christmas, Lona!
Yes, they are beautiful, and at any angle! I take lots of photos, and from different angles, too. One of the things I want to accomplish this winter is to clean up my iphoto library, and delete some of my many photos of individual blooms and such.
I like all the angles of the flower! It look very nice together with the red one. Oh, they are so wonderful :-D
Lona, these are so beautiful! I love the dainty look. I can only think of the Desert Rose when I see the edging like this. Your photos are fabulous!!
Wow, it's stunning. I've never seen an amaryllis like it. Thanks for the introduction! :)
I missed the boat on amaryllis this year, so loved looking at the gorgeous pictures of yours. By the way, I like the quote on your messages board - who's it from?
Darla: Hi, I was looking for something a little different and I am glad I got it.

Ellie: They will bloom before you know it. Thanks for dropping by and Happy Holidays.
RG: The light was from the sunlight coming in the window behind the amaryllis.
Grace: LOL, I will show it soon.
Nell: I know girl, too many plants and too little money, besides a list that never ends ;-)
Patsy: So glad and Happy Holidays.
Kathleen: I never thought about the green throat on it as being Christmasy. You are right.:-)

Barbara: I think it was unknown and on Gardenweb quotes and poems. Happy Holidays.
Picotee was the first amaryllis I ever grew, though I had to give it away when we moved. But I loved everything about it. This year I've been photographing my 'Faro' and 'Rozetta' amaryllis, love them!
Oh, I just love the close-ups with the light shining through the petals. Very pretty.
Finally found a minute to look at garden blogs and say hi. Your amaryllis is gorgeous! Mine won't be ready till January or so, it's only about 6 inches high now. Hope you have a great holiday!
Hello,
I just love your Christmas Collage. If people weren't in the Christmas spirit before visiting, they are now...
I love the white Amaryllis. I have been thinking of growing some next year. I have to be sure to include a white one.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments on my blog.
Noelle
