What a surprise, and a delight Lona! The white flowers are so elegant, and appropriate for Christmas viewing. Your efforts are much appreciated, saving those pristine blooms for a time when they are a sight for sore eyes. :-)

Lona, what a lovely post - a good way to remember the growing season. Storm headed our way as well - the white we see will be a lot colder and not as sweet smelling.

Looks like a Bridal Garden! White Christmas Amaryllis and Narcissus would be the basis for decorating a white Christmas indoors. I could do that, next year, and some white Hyacinths. That's as close to a white Christmas a I could stand.

Lona, how beautiful! I can't even choose my favorite bloom here as I usually do. White paradise. Just charming... Have a happy Holiday Season!

Lona- Your version of White Christmas is so much better than the one I had envisioned! How I would pay to see something bloom right about now. I may even plant some amaryllis just to have something in Feb. Beautiful blooms, btw.

You sure had me fooled, what with all the snow we've had and are continuing to have. It's heading east, but I'm not sure if it is coming your way.

I enjoyed your white blooms. I've never seen white bee balm. I have an area where there are mostly white and yellow flowers, and have decided to take out whatever is not white or yellow, so I'll be looking to put more white ones in. These are some good ideas.

Frances: LOL That is a White Christmas to me. Flowers!

Carol: Thanks so much. I love this kind of white out ;-)

Marydon: I am counting the days already. Well to be truthful I wanted spring back just as the first leaf turned ;-)

Jodi: They are all favorites to me also.

Jim: LOL, I do the same thing and just when I think I have the list whittled down up pops more flowers and more ideas. It becomes an never ending list here ;-)

Kiki: There is just something about the purity of a white bloom.

Helen: I love the white blooms and it helps to divide and lighten a garden.

Barbara: We are having such high winds this morning that Christmas decorations will probably be decorating the field across from the house ;-)

Nell: Oh, girl I forgot about the white Hyacinths and Narcissus. I guess my list was incomplete. ;-)

Heather: yes we must have our flowers and kind color or variety will do just as long as it blooms ;-) Amaryllis are fast and beautiful blooms.

Tatyana: That is the only white I want to see. Count down to spring begins.

RG: Thank you and glad you dropped by.

Patsy: It does brighten a garden at night. I am still trying to grow moonflower vines though. No luck at all.

Sue: The white bee balm I have did not have as many petals as others but the bees and butterflies still liked it.

Zindagi: Thank you. Blooms do brighten a day. I needed to post it to chase away a cold rainy day ;-)

Rebecca: Thank you. I guess we went from blue gardens to white ;-)

Darla: I am with you white just brightens a garden.

Carrie: Yes you need to take a woodland walk and then show all of us :-)
Have fun on your walk.

I expected a snow post (love them too) and was surprised to see so many pretty white blooms! How delightful your garden must've looked during summer! Beautiful images...

What gorgeous flowers! I don't plant white... with 6 months of snow on the ground every year I feel I see enough white. But, yours are lovely. In particular, the Bellflowers. I think I have every zone 5 blue variety that exists squeezed into my gardens. :)

Now there's a white Christmas I can get excited about. The cold, white stuff outside just doesn't do it for me. :-)
These are all gorgeous Lona and you have so many. I don't think I have hardly any white blooms in my garden?? This makes me wonder why?

White.... I love white - and this post with all its beautiful pictures. One stands out above all for me this morning, it's the photo of the white phlox. My goodness, how perfect. Makes me think of a summer wedding. So pure.
All right, the petunia is fantastic too, and the siberian lilly.
Ooh, and the shasta daisy...
I could go on. As I said, I love white.
