So pretty. I especially like the phlox. Are those annual or perennial sweet pea? I had the perennial for years but they have no fragrance. Want to try the annuals this year.

What a great idea to take night time pictures of your flowers. The white flowers really standout. I love how the Sweet Pea looks, the color is so soft looking at night.

What a beautiful post Lona. All of those pretties make me long for spring.

I enjoyed your beautiful flower photos...the geraniums, the hollyhock, daisy and sweet pea. Such delicate colors that really standout with the different lighting.

I have that same hollyhock!

Hello Lona! The flowers look pretty even in the dark especially the white ones. I love all your flowers. I hope spring returns faster for you! I miss your garden.

this is not like midnight in the garden of good and evil...it is midnight in the garden of beauty and gorgeousness!!!!

Tootsie; about the only thing evil in it would be a raccoon or deer munching. ;-)

Stephanie: I hope it returns and stays when it does get here. I hate teases ;-)

Pogonip; well how about that. Do you like yours? I hate the pinkish green color but others like it and have ask for seeds.

Noelle: They look so different at night. I guess we should think more about that when we plant around decks, walkways and patios.

Bangchik:Well what a wonderful saying to contemplate on.Hope your seedlings are doing well.

Patsy: We can enjoy are flowers at all times huh? LOL!

Becca: That makes two of us girl.LOL!

Catherine: Sweetpeas ae just gorgeous at night and really stand out. At least this pink does.

Marnie: They are a perennial and do not have much of a fragrance. They were here when we bought the house about forty years ago and have been moved a few times ;-)

Amy: Those daisies do shine at night under a moonlite sky.

Bonnie: thank you and so glad you had a chance to drop by.

Rebecca: Thanks. Looking at the petunias I think there may have been aphids. LOL!

Nezzy: Hi and just get those hands dirty girl LOL!
Get enough dirt and you will get a green thumb. Planting in the cold will just get you a frozen one.

Darla; Believe it or not I have wondered through the flower beds at midnight. It was usually when I had a heavy heart or something bugging me. One thinks better and somehow it takes your mind off of the worries. Flowers are good for the soul.

Hi, Lona;
Saw your post title and rapidly scrolled down through your lovely photos looking for the 'evil.' (That was such a great book and such a not so great movie.) Anyhoo... nothing evil about these goodies. Fab eye candy one and all!

love it... I need to get out in my garden more at night.

Everything looks a bit different at night. Is it a balloon flower in the second picture? Without you, Lona, I'd never go out at midnight. I get sleepy very early. For that reason, I miss a lot of Olympic events, and unhappy with NBC showing them late.

Lona said...

Ida: This seems like the longest winter here. Thanks for dropping by!

Kate: Hey, no evil allowed in this garden. LOL!

Dirty Girl; It is nice to stroll through the garden on a warm summer evening. Thanks for dropping in.

Hi Tatyana, yes that is a balloon flower. I know I have not saw too much of the Olympics. I did manage some of the skating events, ski and board runs and just a little of the bobsledding. There is generally something else on at the time that pulls me away too.

Are those photos of your garden on the left banner under titles: spring, summer, fall...? Oh, I would so love to see more! I'm always on the look for beautiful gardens to feature on our "Secret Garden-Garden of the Month" blog.... Come and see and let me know if you're interested ;)

Hi Lona~~ The last one is my favorite. Can you guess why? Actually they're all exceptionally well composed. The dark background just illuminates the subject. Yous got some real talent there, girl.

These pictures are good, the flowers gorgeous. Taking pictures at night? Why didn't I though of that before.
