'Easy Does It' Roses

Well the mulch has all been spread all but a few
spots where I am adding some new roses.
It is hard on the old back but the beds always look
so much better after a new coating of mulch.

One of the new roses I added to the new rose garden
is called ‘Easy Does It’.
It was newly introduced this year and was an AARS
honoree.

Rose_EasyDoesIt3

The color is so mixed in the blooms that it is hard
to exactly say what color it really is. It has an mango orange,
peach pink, and honey apricot swirl of colors in the bloom.
I have decided that I really like it a lot. All the wet weather
we are having may be turning some of the leaves yellow in the
middle but for its first season it looks really pretty.

Rose_EasyDoesIt4

The blooms are about 3 1/2 inches and is disease
resistant. The bush gets from 3 to 4 feet in height.
Blooms from early to late summer.
Good from zones 5 to 9.

Rose_EasyDoesIt

The leaves are glossy green and the blooms are suppose
to be fragrant but to tell the truth I do not smell very much
if any of a scent.

Rose_Crimson_June16

My favorite rose, Crimson Bouquet is still blooming its
heart out and when they say this one is fragrant they are
really speaking the truth.

Lily_Pink_June16

A new pink lily is blooming in the lily bed in the woodland
bed. I like it better tan the bright orange ones.

Middlebed_Front_June16

The shady middle bed is looking much better with the
new mulch and it is really starting to fill in now.
Doesn’t the sign look pretty here Tootsie?

Heuchera_PurplePalace_June16

Heuchera ‘Purple Palace’ has not bloomed yet in it.

Heuchera_AmythestMist

And Heuchera ‘Amethyst Mist’ is new this year.
I like the silver highlights to its burgundy leaves.

Monarch_Feeder

Darla it is just not the hummingbirds that like the
mini feeder. Since no Orioles showed up the
hummingbirds are enjoying the orange fruity flavor
of the nectar and so are the butterflies.

Happy Gardening Everyone,
Lona

Wow Lona, those roses are pretty. Too bad they won't grow up here, but I'd probably just kill them anyway. I also like the fact that the butterflies enjoy the nectar too. I should get out my hummingbird feeders.

Lona ~ First of all, I love your header. 'Easy Does It' is a wonderful color and it sounds like it will be a great one to grow. Your gardens look lovely, makes me want to take a tour to enjoy it all.

'Easy Does it" is gorgeous Lona. I love the apricot and pink shades together. I think that's what I liked about 'Abraham Darby' when I bought him. 'New Dawn' is really pretty too. Love that shell pink color. Your garden is looking good. I hear you on the back hurting after doing chores like spreading mulch etc.

Lina, I have heard good things about Easy Does It. It seems to be off to a great start in your garden. The orange-pink coloring is very nice.

You described the color of that rose beautifully! Your garden sign does look good in that area. I'm so glad your flying friends are enjoying the feeder. I have one on a nail on a tree...

Lona,I was thinking about that Easy Does It Rose, but I did read some websites that said they weren't quite sure about it in zone 5. I know they are saying zone 5, so maybe I will take a chance on it next year. Your garden looks great - I know what you mean about new mulch.

That peachy rose is the best!

I wish I could get ANYTHING to come to my hummingbird feeder!

I love the color of your new rose.
Do you think orange kool aid will work in the feeder?

What a stunning rose, the colour combination is my absolute favorite! So sad that it isn't hardy in my zone, I'll just have to enjoy yours. With a name like 'easy does it' how wrong can you go? Lovely post! :)

Such beautiful roses and flowers. Finally, this morning I work up to a dry patio. Love the pink tinged petals of the lily.

Have a wonderful day!

Lona your new rose is beautiful and I love the close up that shows what looks like veins - gorgeous. I've been looking for one Bob use to have that was similar in color - only yellow and peach I think. It's been a while and I know he'd love to have it again. Deer food ya know? LOL I like the Lily too.

What a beautiful new rose, I love the coloring. Your garden is looking so pretty! I love the picture of the butterfly on the feeder. I'm beginning to wonder if they are boycotting my yard :)

Well, Lona, not to make this all about ME, but, your roses are so much nicer than mine. Obviously your weather is much nicer too, not beating raindrops and hail on the poor little petals. ... I love your shady middle bed and the garden art.

My gosh, what a lovely entry this would have made to share with the other Fertilizer Friday bloggers!
I would love to use my hummingbird feeder but it draws the ants so badly I had to give it up.
Such beautiful flowers...
