Now In Bloom

Seems I had a busy day and missed Fertilizer
Friday so I will just show some of the plants that
are in bloom this morning.

Coreopsis_LimerockRuby

Coreopsis Limerock Ruby is getting its first blooms.
I have just learned that this coreopsis that was listed
as good to zone 5 has now been moved to zone 8 after
I bought it. This may be its first and last year to bloom
in my garden then.

So many lovely blossoms. I sighed when I saw Limerock Ruby - alas no more in my zone 5B garden. Wonder if it is one of those you should leave in the pot, pry it up and toss it in the garage over winter - it's so pretty.

All are beautiful but that Burgundy Petunia is gorgeous.

Your blooms are beautiful! I have very little blooming, as our Texas summer doldrums are now here to stay. And the plants aren't happy with the extreme heat.

My lantana is similar to yours. The plant has finished its shower of flowers now. I try to post the flower next time when the plant flowers again.

Love the Elodie Asiatic Double Lily.. the flowers so sweet!

Beautiful blooms, Lona. BTW, I think the relationship of 'Prairie Blue Eyes' to blue is similar to the relationship of 'Limerock Ruby' to zone 5. Just as a Limerock Ruby plant once wintered over successfully somewhere in zone 5, a Prairie Blue Eyes flower once opened that, in the right light, looked sort of blue (well, maybe violet). -Jean

Love the petunia. IMHO, anything can be improved on if you add more petals and ruffles:)

Had to laugh at your comment about Prairie Blue Eyes. I have a strange brownish daylily too. No idea what it was supposed to have been but I certainly didn't buy a brown daylily on purpose.

You have so many beautiful blooms there Lona, it is hard to choose a favourite! But I do always fall for blues and that balloon flower is just delightful!

Beautiful blooms. Stunning petunia Double Burgundy Cascade. Love all of your blues. Blue seems to be popular this year. I have a lot of blues too. Have a good day.

The Prairie Blue Eyes...I wonder about the choice of name too. My daughter has some of these. They are very pretty, but definitely no blue!
