Fertilizer Friday Blooms & Showers

This has been a week of thunderstorms here in the
hills but we are thankful for the rain and giving us
a chance to get rid of the high humidity for a couple
of days before it all comes back with a vengeance.
The garden has slowed down from all of the heat but
maybe with the showers it will revive some of them to
bring on some more blooms.
In between the showers here are just a few things that
are still in bloom.

What beautiful flowers and photography you have. I love your header. I did a post on the color blue in the garden. I don't get a lot of comments on my blog but that one brought out some sound advice from gardners. Thanks for sharing and happy gardening.

Gorgeous and I love the rain droplets on the petals.

Beautiful images, Lona! That Tiger swallowtail is gorgeous, and I love the sweet peas.

You've still got Sweet Peas! What a pretty picture. I love the drop of rain dripping off the Coneflower. The aphids have returned here too, but luckily so have the Ladybugs.

I'm loving the washtub planter! Beautiful blooms too!

Your garden blooms are even more beautiful in the rain! The rain skipped us here in the mountains and we needed it! Lovely Rose, Hibiscus, Geraniums, and Phlox. I love Sweet Peas. Your flowers also look beautiful with raindrops!

If that's between rains, I think your plants are more tolerant than mine. We've been having rain for the past couple of weeks and the petunias have become a sodden mass. My sweet peas haven't even bloomed yet, so I'm extra jealous of the beauties you have blooming!

Hi Lona,

Wonderful photos, I'm glad your heat has gone, nothing worse than extended periods of high temperatures and little water.

Beautiful poetic sweet pea photo... I love your dripping blooms... I would be so happy to have more here. Your coneflower is simply lovely in that way. ;>) Have a great weekend.

I know Lona, it has been some season! However, you have shown us some gorgeous flowers that have survived.

Those are beautiful!!

All so gorgeous ... but I simply love your Red Ice Geranium!! I've had no luck with my Sweet Peas this year ... they're covered in what appears to be a white mouldy layer and it's hard to get rid of. Guess I'll just have to appreciate yours instead.

Great butterfly shot! Love the coneflower with a little droplet of water coming off of it too. Raindrops or dewdrops always make the photograph look so pretty. Your sweet peas are really lovely too.

Your flowers are absolutely gorgeous and your photos really share that so beautifully with us.

Hello Lona! glad that your blooms are still 'intact' and all so pretty! When it rains heavily here, most of my flowers (their petals) will fall to the ground. So, after each rain I will look forward for sunny days for my plants to grow back their flowers. Btw, hope all your bulbs are alright. I can still remember their blooms and would love to see them again ;-)

I always thought that sweet peas were an early season flower. Your header is so pretty with all the blues. Have a nice evening...Balisha

Hi Lona

Sorry with being so late to comment here - I had problems at the weekend getting the page to open for me but today thankfully I was able to read your post.

Those blooms are lovely but I especially like that charming little rose with the water droplets.

Lona your flowers look gorgeous in spite of all your rain and extreme hot weather. And you always capture them so beautifully in your photos.
