Dressed in White

There are still some white blooms
hanging around in the garden.

Iceberg2

The Iceberg Roses have worked so hard
their first year in the rose bed.
If you like white blooms this and roses
too this is the rose for you.Iceberg

The one cosmos left standing in the
middle bed has escaped the freezing temperatures.

Some Alyssum under the eaves have
remained blooming so far.

The shiny silver leaves of Plumonaria
Diana Clare have been beautiful all summer
and still look good for the most part this fall.

The newer white Pansies in the window
boxes are loving the cooler temperatures.

I just love white in the garden and you've got some beauties. White Cosmos is definitely my favourite ... far prefer it to the pinks. Your white Iceberg is a stunner ... and those white pansies are terrific.

Hi Lona, lovely post featuring white flowers. Following the post before, it could be seen as a fitting tribute to your dad. Cheers, catmint

I love white in the garden. It is so beautful, especially in the evening when sitting in the yard, enjoying the fire and entertaining. Iceberg roses are magnificent beauties.

Lona, all the lovely white flowers. I was afraid when I saw your title for this post that it meant you had a snowstorm, so imagine my delight at seeing blooms instead! I remember our visit to Old Man's Cave vividly, what a beautiful place it is. I hope you have a great weekend!

Beautiful whites. The whites can be so iffy here with our rains.

Beautiful white blooms. Did you save some of the white cosmos seeds?

I received your seeds yesterday, thank you so very much. Just trying to figure out the best time to plant the phlox, outside? and when? or inside and then transplant in the spring?

Great photos as always. With this great weather I've been golfing instead of blogging LOL

Oh what beautiful white blooms! I love white, and would love to visit Sissinghurst's white garden.

You mentioned in your comment on my blog about wanting to photograph a rainbow - I hadn't realized there was a rainbow in the sky until I saw it on my photo!! I often find I see things I hadn't noticed on location when I look at my photos, so the rainbow was a nice surprise!

Ah Lona, white flowers... I have long since been a fan. Loved seeing yours. Had Iceberg once but don't know what happened to it. Have a few white Anemones too :-D

Stunning photos, thanks for celebrating white like this. Have a good day, however you like to spend it :-)

I am amazed that you still have these blooms in November and in Ohio to boot! Everything here has frosted over, alas.

White is one of my favorite flower colors. I just love your pristine pansies - lovely. Especially now in the fall where colors are fading the whites seem more appropriate somehow. Subdued but glowing.

Very nice! I don't have many white flowers in my garden but I am seriously tempted to plant more after seeing these pictures.

White blooms add such a punch in the garden. I have heard great things about Iceberg Roses, yours is certainly a beautiful example.
