It doesn’t take too much to make a gardener little heart happy..
just give us the first daffodils in bloom at the beginning of Spring…..
or some pretty little pink blossoms on the Heath…..
or perhaps its spotting tiny leaves from the Brunnera coming up through the soil……
Happiness is the hope that the new Hellebores may get their first blooms……
or the growth of the Ligularia that a garden friend sent to you in the Fall that has survived and looking so beautiful…….

My little gardener's heart is happy at the sight of daffodils so joyous in the sunshine, the scent of earth warming in the sun and the sounds of the wind in the treetops.
I really like your rain water project.

You are right Lona, it doesn't take much to make a gardener happy and smiling...looking around and see your garden is blooming with bright and beautiful flowers! Your sweat, tears and hard work is all worth it after all!
Pink flowers make me happy and that last primrose is outstanding. Love the heather too...well I love all your blossoms.
Your primroses are so pretty!! If I see these flowers here, I will definitely get them. I like that magenta. But the yellow one is really pretty also. Enjoy spring :-D

Daffodils make me smile, knowing that warmer weather is just around the corner. Someday. Around here, it should arrive by July 4th. Fingers crossed!

Reading posts like this makes me happy. Our joy of being out, seeing what's coming up, what's blooming, and then seeing what other bloggers have is a wonderful thing.
A couple days ago, I knocked on the door of a stranger's house to ask for a start of a rudbeckia with double flowers that I've been admiring for a number of years. She gave me the trowel, and trusted me to dig a couple clumps. She said she'd come over and see if I had anything she'd like a start of. That makes me happy, too.
As always your photos are just the best. I just was looking at your nature photos on your other blog too- your blogs are real gems.
Lona it's as if I've transported the plants from my garden over to yours. My little erica heathers are just laden with blooms aswell though the hellebores have been flowering for months now and the Brunnera has just started flowering. I love that magenta primrose - you captured the colour perfectly. Like you looking out and seeing so many things coming into flower makes me happy too.
