Hi Lona~~ You've got me beat. I've got lots of buds on my red Knock Out but no blossoms yet. What a beautiful Rhododendron! Isn't it nice to see flowers?
Looks lovely. I really like the Sunny and had thought to get one but don't really have the space now. In fact just moved both my red Double's a week or so ago, so sure I lost blooms on them for the year. One looks decent the other took it a little harder but thought I should move them before they outgrew where I had them. Beautiful blooms you have going on there. Cher
I know you are in a warmer zone but it is always wonderful to see the first rose of summer. Some of my red knockouts look almost ready but my new Sunny Knockout is still just pushing leaves. I can't wait because I hear it has a fragrance.
The old fashioned iris looks like the kind that grew in my grandmother's garden! I like the Sunny knockout. I wonder if it will perform as well as the original knockouts do.
I thought that was a giant azalea. And when I read later it is rhododendron. I was right! Very pretty shrub with so many flowers. Congrats on the yellow rose. It's pretty rose!!
Still waiting on that first rose here, iris too for that matter. Good to have your pretty images for the wait and preview to come. We just have to wait for the sun to return also. How is Ohio, stormy? Your rose looks like it weathered a rain.
Leave it to the Knockouts to be the first to bloom. I wanted to try this rose, but the people at the nursery said that they weren't as hardy as the red. What a pretty rose..Have a great weekend...Balisha
My first rose arrived too, only mine is Funny Face. It always wins the race! But my Sunny Knockout won't be far behind. It's one of my faves, because it smells like heaven. I can't count my new Knockout rose tree as first, because it came already in bloom! Those sunny pix you mentioned were snuck in at sunset on the one day it briefly stopped raining! Wasn't this weekend heavenly though? We worked ourselves non-stop!

Love it Lona. The trickling water is nice. Would love to pull up a chair and sit a spell.
So fresh and lovely. V

This is my first year with roses and the knockouts are doing well. The knockout "drift" has been splendid. Gosh, why didn't I plant roses before?!

Does Sunny have a strong scent? That's what's missing with the pink and red knockouts I have. Pretty flowers but no lovely fragrance.
Great picture of the Sunny Knockout! It looks like a lovely rose.
Gorgeous Lona! Love your choice of pictures. :)
