A Week Filled With Blooms

I hope everyone had a good week. It has been beautiful here with a couple of days in the 90’s.
The flowers are growing by leaps and bounds and there seems to be something new in bloom everyday now.

Allium_Molly Alliums ‘Molly’ are blooming now and looking cramped in their spot of the bed.

Astileb_pink_Woodlandbed
The Astilbes are starting to bloom. These pink ones are growing in the Woodland bed. Also in the Woodland bed the lilies are just about ready to open.

Astilbe_White The white Astilbes are always my favorite and grow in the bed on the east side of the house.

Astilbe_White_Closeup

I love the white fluffy blooms that brighten up the bed and   brings out their colors of the nearby flowers.

BlueHillSalvia_Allium
The ‘Blue Hill’ salvia sparkles in the evening sunlight.

ButterflyWeed_Asclepias_Cinderella
The asclepias ‘Cinderella’ Butterfly weed that I thought was a gonner surprised me with a bloom. This will make the Butterflies happy.

Correction:::::
Whoops! Sue you are right girl it is Valerian, Jupiter’s Beard ‘Keys to Heaven’ !!
I forgot I had planted that. Getting so forgetful. I guess the Butterfly Weed died after all. LOL!

BlueWaterFall_Campanula_Spreading The ‘Blue Waterfalls’ spreading campanula is spreading out and loaded with blooms of lavender-blue stars.

WaterFall_CampanulaSpreading

Campanula_Foxglove

I have white Peachleafed Campanula growing in several of my beds around the yard. I have not seen the flowers as large as they are this year. It could be the John & Bob’s Organic fertilizer that was spread upon the beds.

Chettle_Charm_Campanula
Even the bellflowers on ‘Chettle Charm’ are bigger this year.
Chettle Charm is getting its blue tinged edges now as the blooms mature.

Clematis_CrimsonStar
Clematis ‘Scarlet Star’ which is more purple than red is blooming on the trellis that tries to hide and shade the air conditioner.

Clematis_Florida_Sieboldii
A new clematis in the Rose Garden is this ‘Florida Siebolii’.
She is behind the white Iceberg roses and they go well together.

Clematis_Florida_Sieboldii2

 Copy (1) of Fantasia_Clematis
Clematis ‘Fantasia’ has about all of its petals unfolded now and reminders me of a little dahlia bloom.

Delphinium_BlueBrid_Bellflowers The blue blooms of the delphinium ‘Blue Bird’ looks pretty with the white bellflowers growing around them.

Delphimium_BlueBird
I love blue flowers in the garden when they are true blue.

Dianthus_Pinks
The dianthus or pinks were grown from seed and are blooming in the borders around a couple of the side beds and below some roses.

Foxglove2
I do not remember planting this Foxglove in the back corner bed and it is a paler pink than my other foxgloves but it must be from their seeds.

GrussAnAachen_FloribundaRoses
A new pale apricot antique floribunda rose ‘Gruss An Aachen’ is now starting to bloom.

GrussAnAahen_EasyDoesIt
It is planted beside the ‘Easy Does It’ roses. I thought they would compliment each other in color.

MaynightSalvia_Moonshine_Achillea Along the sunny end of the Woodland bed the ‘Maynight’ salvia and the ‘Moonshine’ achillea are blooming together.

Penstemon_IronMaiden
Penstemon ”Iron Maiden’ . I am not happy with this little bit of orange and it is going to have to be moved to the Orange bed or just tossed period.

Peony The ‘Sorbet’ peony has finished its blooming and the petals are gone now. I wish the blooms on peonies lasted longer. They are always gone before you get a chance to really enjoy them.

Rose_NewDawn
The climbing rose ‘New Dawn’ that was delegated to the Garden Shed bed is starting to bloom.

Silvermoon_Clematis2_June3
The ‘Silvermoon’ clematis is getting more blooms and these are a darker shade than its earlier blooms.

TeaPot_Planter ‘Burgundy Star’ petunias.

I am joining in with Glenda at “Tootsie Time” for Fertilizer Friday . That is if I hurry and get this published. LOL!

Fertilizer_Friday
It has been a busy week and I finally got my mini garden planted with some red and green peppers and Beefsteak,Yellow Pear and Razzleberry tomato plants grown from seed. Cucumbers, watermelon and Tiny Tim pumpkins seeds were also planted.
The farmers have frantically been planting corn and soybeans this week to catch up. My heart goes out to the farmers. The yields will really  be down this year.

Everyone have a good weekend and

Happy Gardening,
Lona

Your new Florida clematis is gorgeous! What a fabulous addition. I love your astilbe pictures, I am growing it for the first time this year. Peachleaf bellflowers are one of my favorites, the flowers are so long lasting and the bloom time goes on and on..:)

So many stunning blooms, Lona! I simply adore those pure white Astilbe blooms and your Blue Hill Salvia is such a lovely thing.

The spreading Campanula is real eye candy and the patch of Delphinium and Bellflowers is just gorgeous!

Loved the teapot with the Petunia plant ... I will have to try that!

Lots of things going on there. Just beautiful. My Astilbe is just starting to bloom, still some days yet for it to look really good. Your Clematis is wonderful, every one of them. I got some photos but haven't had time to put up the new ones yet.

Your blooms are beautiful. The little teapot at the end with the petunias is really cute. I have to tell you that the photos of the Astible are some of the best photos I have seen of that bloom, very well done!

The Sorbet peony is one that brings out one of my most unattractive aspects: covetousness! I love the subtle shading. It's as if the plant says, "Yes, I am a peony, but I don't need to beat you over the head with that fact."

Oh, it's so good to see color again isn't it?

Love the little tea pot.

Lona, where was your garden when the MG's were touring mine this morning?! I would have sent them to see your gorgeous drop-dead flowers if you lived closer. They would have been so impressed!

You have such a beautiful garden, Lona. I am in awe.

Lona,

You have got so much blooming I don't know where to start. The yellow allium is striking and that ruffled clematis so special. I love the roses too and can't wait until they all bloom. I have such problems with Japanese beetles I try to enjoy those first blooms.

Wonderful flowers. I know what you mean about peonies. It seems like just yesterday they started blooming and now they are almost gone.

Wow, Lona, your flowers sure look happy! They are so full, and the combinations are lovely, too. I want to watch out for that 'Blue Hill' salvia. I saw 'Caradona' on some blogs, and ended up buying 3 different plants, because I couldn't remember if I'd planted one. I'll do better this time, hopefully. I love that white and purple clematis! It reminds me of passion vine blooms, which don't do well here.

I think what you called milkweed may be Jupiter's Beard. I see no one else suggested that, though.

It's supposed to get up to 99 tomorrow. I better get out there and pick lots of lettuce. I am always sad when lettuce season is over.

I have really come to love Astible, in fact, shade gardening is becoming my favorite type. Maybe I am getting too old to fry in the sun and shade gardens are so peaceful. Lovely photos as always,Lona!

So many many beautiful flowers already, and they all look so healthy and happy. My astilbes are no where near blooming yet, and I'm really looking forward to them. Love the petunia in the teapot.
