An Autumn Night.
"November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring."

Oh my, this photo looks like a lovely fall tapestry with black wool background. Just lovely!
Hello dear,
We had rain from Oklahoma that pounded them 3 days but it's not to cold just in the 50's but it is on it's way there are high winds. Winter is coming fast.
I got my flower bed cleaned out and will plant the Pansies soon.
Drank a good hot cup of tea and have a warm day.
Takiej smutnej jesieni nie lubię, niech już lepiej biały puch wszystko okryje. Pozdrawiam
I love the photo and the poem! I'll need to use that poem in a future garden scrapbook page. Thanks for sharing!
Night sure does come early now with the time change. Don't laugh now but I can't stay awake past 8:30 now. Lovely poem. Hope you're doing good Lona.
Snow here, Lona, three inches and the plows were out tonight. Seems too early, even though I know it's not. We're supposed to go back up to 50 by the weekend-- I sure hope so.
I love the poem and the picture!
