In the Garden

I took a break from blogging and was going to just leave it all together because I felt it had ran its course. But then I  started missing it and the garden friends I had come to know over the years.
So to catch up on what is blooming in the garden now…..

Allium_Persian_Blue2
The “Persian Blue” Alliums and the Creeping Phlox have come and gone.

Augilegia_Purple_Columbine2
Purple aquilegia Columbine is in bloom. The seeds were given to me by a garden blogging friend and I just love the blooms in those shady spots of the garden beds. Thank you Margy again!

Centranthus_Valerian_SM
Centranthus, Valerian is starting to bloom now but it is shorter this year in height for some reason.??

Clematis_Crimson_Star2
“Crimson Star” clematis  is the first of my collection of clematis vines to bloom.

Dianthus_Brillant2_SM
Dianthus “Brillant” is a shocking pink and is blooming alone with the Weigela shrub “Wine & Roses”.

Weigela_Wine_Roses
Weigela “Wine & Roses”

Dianthus_Fire_Witch2
Dianthus “Fire Witch” Is even a more shocking shade of pink. It does draw attention in the garden bed.

Fragaria_Lipstick_OrnamentalStrawberry
Fragaria “Lipstick” Ornamental Strawberry is blooming also with its lovely bright pink blooms.

Fairy_Garden
The Fairy’s and the….

Gnomes

Gnomes have moved back for the season.

Rhododendron_Garden

The Rhododendrons are the attraction stealing the show in the garden now but their blooms will be dropping of now with the rains.

Wisteria_Bee
The Blue Japanese Wisteria blooms have also came and gone. The Bumble Bees loved them but I have to say the Honeybees look scarce again this season so far along with the Butterflies.

So that is a little of what is blooming now. The roses are all budding and starting to bloom now and I always love that since I love roses so much.
What is blooming in your garden now?

Happy Gardening,

Lona

The lavenders .. my Provence are coming back along with a few other ones, so I am a happy gardener .. but certainly the new ones I am trying will have my curiosity about winter hardiness .. what is a garden without some lavender eh ?
Glad you are back .. I too have fits and spurts .. I have a lot of work to get done in my garden so a FIT might happen now? LOL

Oh my! What gorgeous flowers. I spent a few hours on my Fair Garden this afternoon..it's a favorite thing to do. Yours is lovely..
Mona
p.s. I have been tempted to leave also..and keep taking breaks. I have such mixed feelings about not doing it anymore. I still consider it from time to time...mostly because it becomes difficult to keep up and visit all that I would like to visit..AND get ANYTHING done around home or in my garden.

Glad to have you back, Lona! I think we all have those times when we think we should give it up.\

Your early spring flowers were so pretty. I am still waiting for the allium, etc. It has been very cold here...still getting frost at night.
