Autumn Color From Beginning To Ending

Autumn leaves and their changing colors have been
a mix this Fall. While some of the colorful Sugar Maple's
have already shed their beauty, others are still hanging
just starting to turn fr
om green to yellow.

The mighty Oak's are changing slowly and their leaves
will be the last to fully fall to the ground. Some of its
leaves defy all the odds and hang on until the Winter
rains and snows finally bring them down.

In my picture taking this Autumn season, pictures of
the field across from my home have recorded the
beginnings and the ending of the leaves changing.

And show the bare trees that have shed their color and the
stubborn ones that are still trying to hold onto the leaves.
With the first frosts over the weekend no doubt they
will start the end of their cycle and loose their hold.

You made a nice series of photos showing the colour progression. What a lovely view you have. The last picture with the deep golden colours and fiery red is especially beautiful.

I always find the colour of brown on the Oaks to be so rich. It really is a grand time of year - thanks for sharing your fall colour!

I love the transformation from one picture to the next. People who move to Southern California really talk about missing the seasons, and I can see why. (We do have our seasons, but they're a lot less dramatic...) Enjoy your stunning views!

My sister moved to Portugal and she really misses the color change in the fall.

I didn't think about the areas that don't have beautiful fall color until then.

I'm going to keep that in mind in case I ever move.

Lostlandscape: Silly but I never thought about the seasons not changing in other areas like they do here in the north. Thinking about it I am sure I would miss the colors of Autumn.
