I cannot remember my Jack Frost Brunnera blooming so early.
It is starting to bloom even before the leaves have
hardly grown. Maybe it is suppose to since I am rather
new to growing the plant. I also planted a Looking Glass
Brunnera and I confuse the two.
I just love the blue flowers and the leaf patterns.
It grows from seed so easily that I have several new ones
that has been planted about in the shady flower beds.
I am afraid they will be getting little white snow flakes on their
lovely blue blooms tomorrow.
This fickle Spring weather can really dampen ones enthusiasm
at times, but this too shall pass.
Have a beautiful Blooming Tuesday!

Lona you sure have some pretty stuff growing. I love the blue flower. Have a good day.
I've never heard of this plant. Cool. I leave my Caladiums in the ground, the ones coming up were planted this year, the ones from last year have not shown their heads yet.
That's great to see it bloom early,
love the little dainty blue flowers.
That is a beautiful plant, the flowers are so delicate. I hope the snow doesn't get them. Helen
These are fabulous.... I am going to add these to my list to hunt for on my greenhouse tours.
Thank you for sharing - happy spring!
:)
One of my favourite plants! It doesn't seed so readily for me though.
I love those flowers. Ours started to bloom about a month ago in zone 8 and I think that's pretty normal for us.
Hi Lona~~ I think this is what Brunneras do--blooms with small leaves then grow big ones. The Pulmonarias do this too. My 'Jack Frost' is a seedling from my garden buddy. Love it!
Mine seems to be blooming really early this year as well. I also noticed the leaf sizes are smaller on the older plants. I decided to divide a bunch of them to see what would happen.
