Hyacinths are so incredibly beautiful -- I planted striped pink bulbs that I received in a pot last year. I hope they grow and bloom. :)

Gorgeous! I tend to favor a summer/fall blooming garden as that is when I am outside the most, but I see all these lovely photos and think, hmmmm.....did I make a bad choice?

I really like the yellow hyacinth...I haven't ever seen one before! And the pink and white 'striped' one is pretty interesting too...as well as the 'peach' colored one. I have some purple ones and some pink ones. That's all I've ever seen! Where did you get yours? You don't need any words for these photos! Words wouldn't do them justice!

Beautiful images of Spring in Hocking Hills, Lona. The last photo is my favorite...my Daffodils opened yesterday.

Thanks ladies:
I got the bulbs so many years ago from Spring Hill nurseries. You can probably tell they are old because of the few blooms on them. They have about bloomed their limit and need replaced with new ones. What blooms that are on them still smell wonderful.

Compared to this time last April, my tulips a way behind. Last year I had many blooms, this year they are still just buds.

Hi Lona, what cheering and wonderful shots of the hyacinths. I love the fragrance and that light yellow is my favorite color, although really they are all wonderful. Happy spring to you. :-)

I love your hyacinths! About my strawberry jar - I did take it inside for the winter once, with disastrous results! Only two strawberries made it, so this last winter I just pushed it up against the house and it did fantastic, they stayed mostly green all winter! I have had this pot for about 4 years and so far it's holding up great, looks like it's brand new.

Beatiful Hyacinths Lona. I planted lots last fall, and I can hardly wait to see them. Have a good Friday. Cheers! Pauline

Such gorgeous blooms Lona! You should get that Ohio bird book, it's wonderful. And you can get it with a CD to match up the sounds. It was a little splurge just for me. You've never been to Inniswood? It's in Westerville, so not too terribly far away. Take a day trip sometime! Heck, I'd be happy to meet you there, the place is addictive.
