Sunday Sparkle

After a night of thunderstorms and tornado warnings,
all is well. This morning natures beauty came alive with
the sun catching the raindrops in the garden.

Stella de Oro Lily is dress in raindrops.

The Tobacco flowers are soggy.

The Wild Phlox looks lovely.

White Campanula is sparkling.

Clematis Crimson Star is enduring.

Crimson Bouquet Rose is perfect.

Blue Bird Delphinium is beautiful.

Burgundy Gaillardia Blanket Flower takes it all in stride.

Pink Knockout Rose is looking like it's named though.

This Lolypop lily does not melt when wet.

New Dawn's buds can take the rain but in full bloom
she hates water.

Pansies royally shimmer.

Petunia's do not wave when wet.

Polka Dot Phlox is dressed in gems.

Happy Gardening Everyone!

Lona, that sure is a lot of pretty sparkle in your garden.

Did you have the hail that we had here in the Cincinnati area? The beds looked like someone had strewn gravel over them. I know some areas had it much worse -- I can't imagine what quarter-sized hail would have done to my babies!

Hi Lona~~ It must be stressful, the tornado warnings. I'm glad all is well. My husband calls RAIN, "free water" as opposed to the gallons I hose on during our dry spells. Your plants look genuinely happy with this free water. Your red rose is a stunner.

Judging by these photos, your garden must look spectacular, even drenched by the downpours.

Hi Lona, great post! Love your photos and captions. I'm anxious to see which of my daylilies will bloom first...there's several scapes with buds but I'm guessing Stella D'oro will win. I love that Crimson Star clematis!
