There is a lot starting to happen in the garden now.
A lot of Spring beauties are starting to show themselves now like….
The “Burgundy Glow” Ajuga is getting some flower heads growing.
The tiny blue flowers of the Brunnera “Looking Glass” look pretty with the yellow blooms of the Squill.
The Creeping Myrtle or Periwinkle ground cover on the bank behind the garage is starting to bloom now.
Some of the pink Daffodils planted last Fall are now in bloom. I am loving their pretty color which are really more of an apricot pink.
The pink Dicentra ,Bleeding Hearts are getting tiny buds.
Polemonium, Jacobs Ladder “Stairway to Heaven” also has some buds forming.
It will not be long now before the “Red Clock” Pasque Flower opens its blooms.
Tiarella “Spring Symphony” is growing fast.
One of the “Color Blend” tulips has bloomed in a lovely two toned pink.
The Creeping Phlox has so many buds now and a few have opened in the sunshine.
The Shade garden has more tulips and the purple Pasque Flower which is still in bloom with a Brunnera “Jack Frost” in the back ground.
Some of the wild Violets look so pretty in the side bed,
The viola “Labrador” violets are looking very sad and small yet. I hope it starts growing better because I love its deep violet blue blooms against the dark leaves.
The woodland tulips are now blooming amongst the daffodils in the Woodland bed. The deer have not found them so far.
And there is a promise of more tulip blooms to come.

Wow! Those tiny blue flowers really POP with color. They almost don't look real. Here in Michigan we're anxiously awaiting warmer weather so we can get outside and enjoy all they you are already enjoying.
Very pretty Lona... you will have something happening in the gardens nearly everyday now that's it's started!
Your white and pink daffodil is really amazing. I wish I could grow that here.
What wonderful blooms you have in your gardens. It is so wonderful to me to see what all of you northern gardeners grow. Some really wonderful and interesting plants that would not stand our heat and humidity.
Enjoy ~ FlowerLady
It is an exciting time in the garden now and makes us smile as we see new life of a plant comeing back.
Lona, my goodness you have so much going on in your gardens. I wish I could say the same, but I'm hopeful. Those pasque flowers are so amazing, is the foliage soft and furry or picky? (I'm sorry, inquiring minds want to know, lol).
The Jacob's ladder is so pretty, too.
Lots of spring going on in your garden ~ that verigated green on that tulip is so cool! xoox, tracie
Way to go Lona. Everything is coming up beautifully. I know it wasn't easy to get you and that camera down that low to capture those pretty blooms. You have some awesome foliage that sets off those blooms. Have a great weekend.
I love your ajuga. I have always loved it, but didn't have much success with it (when I had dirt). It does well here though. We are getting a good rain right now, a much needed rain. Hopefully it will clear up tonight and we will have a beautiful weekend. I am going up on the river tomorrow and want to take some great shots to share with ya'll. Have a wonderful weekend
You've got so many lovely blooms aswell Lona. I am loving those little viola's we've got them growing all over the river banks here.
OMG! That white/peachy Daffodil is to die for. And you have Pasque blooming already! Lucky you. I love that flower. She won't show her pretty face around these parts for another month or so. Happy Bloom Day, Lona! :))
Oh my goodness you're just enough warmer there than here and have so many lovely plants starting to bloom. I've seen a few hyacinths and daffodils. Even the flowering crab apples along the street barely have buds. Loved the gorgeous two-toned tulip.
We have a lot of the same things happening in our gardens. Jacob's Ladder just seemed to take off and I was surprised by flowerbuds. I have tons of those violets in my yard, I love how teeny the flowers are. Hope you have good weekend :)
Catherine: Those little violets just seem to take over here. I like them so I have to leave some to bloom.
T: Are you in the frozen north of Ohio? LOL! It has to warm up some day. Hang in there.
Kate: I am sure your Pasque Flower will be welcome when she does show herself.I am looking for a white one now.
Rosie: Those little violets are everywhere her too along the creeks.I like them even if some think they are invasive.
DP: Have a fun time along the river and we will be waiting on those pictures.
Becca: What are you trying to tell me? That I am too old and fat to bend. LOL!
Tracie:It is the only variegated one I have and it comes back every year with the prettiest red and white blooms.
Karen: No, she is not prickly. Soft and fuzzy. LOL! They would look so pretty in your rock beds.
Patsy: All these blooms makes me a happy gardener too.
FlowerLady: I forget that some areas cannot grow some of the plant I take for granted but I drool over every ones camellias and roses all year long.
One: Is it too hot for tulips there? Maybe you could refrigerate some to bloom in a pot for you.
Darla: I am so ready for all of these blooming plants.
Judi: Thanks for dropping by and you are in the contest. Good Luck!
I love your photo of the pink tulip!!!
Lona,
Everything is looking beautiful. I did order Brunnera Jack Frost, but they haven't come yet.

Your garden seems to be bursting with spring beauty. It's been a delight to visit and see these lovely flowers ... flowers that are not grown here. I simply loved the Violets and the Brunnera/Squill patch.

Your photographs are exquisite! Thanks for stopping by my humble blog and for the nice comment. Take care, Mary Gnome @ My Garden Gnome
Lona, You really have some lovely shade plants in your garden. I am not able to keep pasque flower alive for more than a couple of years. I am wondering if you have long term success with it. Carolyn
My 24 Burgundy Glow ajuga, of which I can only find 2 are blooming. Yours looks very happy! Happy GBBD.
I've never seen some of these flowers! The flowers are gorgeous.
So many lovely blooms, Lona; spring has really sprung in your garden. I really must plant some squill next year!
I love the first flowers of the spring. We wait so long through our harsh winters...bright spring flowers are so welcome.
Your gardens are coming alive once again. Beautiful pictures.
