Blogger’s Alert! Your Pictures Stolen Without Permission

To all of my blogging friends I have just discovered that the
following site Pics!Pics! Pics! have some of my pictures on their site and in their data base .
Put your http://blogspot  Url into their domain search engine and see if any of your pictures come up.
Go to Pics! Pics! Pics! here.
I have a Genealogy website with my trademark name on everything and did have it registered with the Copyright office. So I am really ticked off because this PICS! have some of my pictures and have no safe guards on their site so anyone can copy your pictures right from their site.
At the bottom of their site they have “If You Would Like To Remove Copyright Pictures Please Contact Us”.  Duh! what makes you think that Pics!
So they know they are adding copyright photographs to their site.

I did do a quick search and found pictures from :

Catherine @  A Gardener in Progress
Tatyana @ My Secret Garden
Kate @ High Altitude Gardening
Jodi @ Blooming Writer
VW Garden
Etc!

There may be none of your pictures on their site but it will only take a minute to check.

I have a problem with my website content and photos being stolen constantly, even though all my photos on my site have Goldenray and my blog Sunray. Thieves don't care, but... Did you know you can make a DMCA complaint with google? From what I can see they aren't indexed with that title though. Cher

I think my photos are of a sufficiently poor quality as to be in no danger. I hope you prevail, Lona!

Lona,
Thanks for the heads up. I checked and came up with zero results on my website. Usually not the case :)

Thanks for the heads up Lona. I put in the URL for my blog and it came up as zero. Lucky I guess.

Thank you for the heads up, Lona. I checked for mine but didn't find anything, though it's understandable since my photos are so often of messy construction in the garden. I can definitely see how they would love your photos, since you're so talented with photography and gardening. I hope there's a way to outsmart these crooks.

Hi, Lona! First, I must wish you a very happy belated birthday!! Hope you enjoyed your day!
Thanks for the heads up...I didn't find any of my photos...probably not good enough! :D Regardless, they are slimey. Did you write them to remove your shots?

Are there just no morals left in cyberspace? I hope you do contact google and make a formal complaint. Ridiculous!

Hello there Lona girl (take a breath now .. have a cup of tea .. calm down .. it isn't good for you to be upset) .. it is VERY annoying and so hard to safe guard our content .. things like this are going to happen.
I haven't checked but I doubt anyone would bother with mine ;-)
Now I am curious though .. I have to go see.

Thanks for letting us know about this. And a word of warning to anyone that wasn't thinking like I just did, and clicked on the see now button.

They tried to hack into my computer, but my virus program stopped it.

They didn't get any of my photos.

They didn't seem to want any of my photos and I am a bit hurt that no one bothered to steal even one picture!

Picasa has already ticked me off!!! I don't feel that I need them to blog, but Google thinks so. I don't like the fact that ALL my pics get uploaded in to Picasa. However, as I found out last week, my pics were not being stored on the Picasa web based site....so maybe I am ok. But I am going to check now. Thanks for the heads up
