Lona,
Never seen one of these that looked so much like silk. We have a red one due to open in several weeks.

Every year I plan to grow an Amaryllis and every year I never get around to it, but yours may really inspire me this time.

Amaryillis are the most beautiful flower, and in the winter we really appreciate any color at all.

What a gorgeous double bloom, I will need to look for that one next time.

Lona girl I was going to email you but what the heck I'll chat to you here ? haha
You asked if Zephirine Drouhin blooms all season and YES ! it has for me and I love this rose to bits ! So make sure you get one and try it out (now remember our weather and growing conditions vary slightly) I need to find a Canadian provider for Sugar Moon rose, but thank you for the address .. I am sure we have to wait at least a year for new roses and plants in general to show up here .. makes me crazy since I want what I want NOW ? LOL
Love your favourite plant list and your roses are so gorgeous girl !! plus this amaryllis shimmers WHITE ! beautiful !!

Beautiful amaryllis! I grow them every year and every year I say I am not going to do it. They are so expensive and I do not have the room to hold them over. However, each year I have to have some color in the winter so I give in.

Hi Lona, you have really done a nice job of capturing the irredescent quality of the flower petals. They look as pretty as a prom dress!
I am sorry to see your adorable little potting bench was destroyed in high winds in one of the previous posts. I hope you are able to rebuild it.

It's beautiful! Maybe I will try to find some room for some bulbs like that.

I love the white! I just started re-watering my amaryllis from last year. It failed to bloom the first year so we'll see what happens this time around. I know it won't be as gorgeous as yours, but any flowers right now are welcome!

WOWZA! I don't even like white flowers and I'm in love! Just stunning.

Hey ~ are you planning to attend the garden bloggers fling? I'm not mature enough to travel anywhere alone. :) So, I'm asking around the blogosphere to see if I'll have any friends there. :D

Now that is winter white! Gorgeous -- and one of the reasons you deserve this nomination:

How beautiful! I'm going to be growing more amaryllis and daylilies this year, because they do so well here in SW FL and there are so many wonderful new varieties. I'm waiting now for my amaryllis to bloom.

oh Lona ~ 'Alfresco' is gorgeous. I am loving the double varieties more and more. At first I wasn't sure ~ they seemed a lot more finicky but the blooms are truly spectacular when they open. Glad you are getting some Amaryllis flowers.

Yay ~ my comment went thru! I've tried and tried on your blog. I went thru the same thing with a couple other blogger sites that had embedded comments in them. Finally tonight I switched my browser from Firefox to Internet Explorer and that worked?? I need to remember that from now on!
