Taking Time Off

I think we missed a month around here with this weather lately. Feels like fall and I am so not ready for that.
I am going to be taking some time off. My heart has not been into blogging or much into gardening this summer. I am hoping it is just a phase I am going through.
Having said that I want to thank all the great gardeners and friends I have come to know through garden blogging. Some of you have become dear friends to me and I have appreciated the years of sharing since I started this blog in 2007. I will leave you with some final pictures of some of the blooms now in the garden at the ending of summer.

Oh Lona...this sounds so final. Say it isn't so. I depend on you for brightening my days with pictures of your beautiful blooms. I have learned so much from you. My week just won't be complete without a Lona fix.

I know how hard it is to come up with fresh things to blog about and I have felt the same way as you. Health issues come into play and we don't want to sound like complainers.

Please take a little vacation, but when the pumpkins are ripe and ready for displaying I hope to see you back again.

I almost forgot...the little side trips you and your daughter have shared are so special.

Oh, dear...I've said too much, I think.

Take a break my friend...but not forever.

I understand completely, as I often struggle to put anything on the blog. An artists break is what is needed and when you feel up to posting again I will be waiting for you. Feel free to pop in and visit me anytime, comments are not needed. Find your peace and stillness. Blessed be! Jen xox

Lona, I understand you. I think it's normal to take a break. Write and show your pictures when you will feel so. Life is much bigger than blogging! Take care of yourself and enjoy the life!
I will miss your posts, but I'll be here when you are back.
Hugs,
Tatyana

Hi, Lona ~
I lost you! By that I mean I must have had a broken link from my blog to yours. But, now I've found the new link to your blog. Only to see this bummer news. I'm a little dismayed to read that you are taking time off. Certainly understandable, I'm feeling a little burnt out on keeping the blog current, as well. Anyhoo... I hope you post now and then because I'd love to stay connected with you. Besides! A garden as beautiful as yours needs a permanent spot in the blogosphere. :)

Happy Gardening,
kate

Hi Lona Dear,

You sound like me last summer. Only I was probably much worse than you are. I just couldn't get in the gardening groove. I paid for it royally this spring when having to clean up all of the neglect.

Take care sweetie and come back soon. We'll be here.

Hello Lona, i hope you don't completely stop blogging. You have followers and we love your photos, plants and flowers. This blog burn-out gets to most of us, but with me the urge to post came back, and i even made a 2nd blogspot. Take time out and rest, enjoy life. Thanks for everything, in case you don't resurrect your posts! But we will wait still.

Lona girl !
You sound exhausted and very much needing a break .. we all do at some point.
Please take a good time out for YOURSELF and enjoy it .. and PLEASE come back when you are ready.
I haven't been visiting blogs much this summer at all .. I find I am just too tired by the time I get to the computer.
I hope that is all that is happening to you and that a rest will help cure it ?
Take care dear friend .. and come back when you are ready.
Your pictures are always awesome!!

Lona, I've been thinking of you and hope all is well. We're facing winter again, aren't we? And the holidays are fast approaching. The sad part is, I'm not prepared and sadder yet, I don't care! Maybe it's old age on my part. Just wanted to let you know I miss you!
