Merry Christmas !!

Where does the time go? The gardens are all put to bed and winter is upon us to keep us out of the gardens for a while.

First Snow Nov17
We got our first little snow on November 17th and since then it has been fairly mild. We will take all the mild we can get after last winter, but the reality is that winter has just getting started and I am certain there will be many surprises to come.

Aspen_Nov27
I think the only one who enjoys the snow (after the first one anyway)  is Aspen and it shows by the way he always has to rut in it. All he needs is a red and white suit. Smile

Amaryllis Contanier

I was lucky enough to win this crate with two large Amaryllis bulbs from Kylee over at “Our Little Acre”. So that is the only gardening I will be doing for a few months. I will welcome the color later on when it blooms to be sure and the crate will be lovely to plant more flowers this Spring.
I brought in a few of my favorite geraniums to hold over the winter and several are in the basement. I just cannot seem to just let them go of them so I lug them back to the basement.

Pelargonium Elegance Sunrise

Life here has been somewhat complicated at times. I guess everyone has those days and years but this too shall pass I know.
I have missed writing but I have dropped by to check on a few of you from time to time to see how your garden grows and what is happening in your lives.  I know I did not get all that I wanted to do done in the garden this year, but isn’t that the way it goes every year? Smile

Christmas Joy
I wanted to get this posting up and not miss the chance of telling you all how much I have appreciated your friendship and comments over the years.
But most of all I wanted to tell you all to have….

A Very Wonderful Christmas and a

Happy New Year,

filled with  happiness and blessings for you and your families.

Dear Lona ~ Have missed reading your posts about your lovely flower filled gardens.

Your overwintering geraniums are really pretty.

Dogs are so funny when it comes to snow. I wonder what they are thinking?

May your Christmas be filled with lots of love, peace & joy ~ FlowerLady

Merry Christmas to you too dear Lona. SO sweet of you to drop by my blog to tell me. I understand "complications" ~ they've followed me around for a few years now so I'll wish both of us a New Years free of them!!! If that is possible!! I LOVE that crate you won!! It's awesome. I know you will do something great with it come spring. Our weather has been the same as yours and I'm with you. I'll take it as long as possible. Your little Aspen is adorable. My Butter used to like the snow too until he got old. :( Now I have to shovel him a path to go out. It's hard to see.
Have a wonderful Christmas holiday Lona & I'll see you in 2015!!!!!

Blessed Christmas, Lona! Have a joyous season with your loved ones :-) Btw that cheerful geranium is warm and bright. And Aspen is the cutest haha... a suit will attract many children running after him!

Aw, Aspen is so cute! My husband wanted a white Christmas, but I am thankful of the milder weather we've been having (after LAST winter!) The temperatures are dropping, but it's been actually sunny, which is so cheerful. It's nice to take a little winter break from the gardens. I hope you have a wonderful New Years!

Happy New Year, Lona! I hope you're enjoying the holidays. The weather was mild but it's sure cold this week, isn't it? Even here in the PNW it's been below freezing all week. Your Aspen is so cute with the snow on his face. I bet he loves the snow. Here's to a fantastic and fulfilling 2015. Love and hugs.
