My Columbine, aquilegia ' Rose Barlow' is blooming now.
She is pretty and a welcome bloom in the Spring.
My only improvement on the flower would be that the
blooms or heads did not droop but bloom more upright.
She is dainty and lovely regardless of her drooping blooms
though.
Jack Frost Brunnera is almost stopped blooming now
and its leaves are getting larger and more beautiful.
I love this time of the year when so much many flowers
are starting to bloom.
Now that the 18th of May is upon us warmer weather will
settle in and the days of harmful frosts or cold spell will be
no more, so now I can get my Brandywine tomatoes
planted out along with other warm weather veggies.
Happy Gardening Everyone!

Lona, your columbine is so ahead of mine! Such pretty color. I planted my tomatoes already. Never was successful with Brandywine, but still get at least one plant every year.
That columbine is so translucent, it's as though it were made of ice. Stunning. I want! And like you I love brunnera too. I think I like them even more when they're not in flower, oddly enough, when I appreciate the foliage more.
I think there is a good chance of a frost tonight and maybe tomorrow night Accuweather says low tonight 27 degrees I am going to have to cover most of the garden.. Good luck to you Joe Todd
Beautiful flowers. It is kinda windy and coolish here today with rain showers. Helen
very pretty columbine!
How delicate and pretty!
I have not had a columbine, it looks like a winner. Maybe I was to quick with the ax.

All so pretty !
That columbine is awesome! I love it!
I just love both. I'm going to find room for Rose Barlow here!
The Columbine Rose Barrow is so shy ha ha :-o I like its pastel pink colour... is so sweet :-)
What a pretty plant........don't know much about these either, the more I learn the less I realize I know.
Spring is such a wonderful season, the bounty of color is amazing.

Your header photo, of the blue Brunnera flowers with the pink tulip flowers is a beautiful combination. The aquilegia 'Rose Barlow' is another lovely soft spring colour.
I love your new header with the Jack Frost Brunnera. Very pretty! It's a shade lover, right? I have lots of new things in bloom each day, it's very exciting.
Lona, you are my kindred spirit even tho' you don't know me. We are so alike I think we could be twins, separated at birth...
I love everything about your blog site ~ it's so relaxing and beautiful!
