Blooming Friday

Today was flu shot day for my Mom and myself.
Hope all of you have gotten or are getting yours.
I remember the days when I did not even get the flu
that went around each year.
I was pretty healthy as a country kid only getting the
measles after falling through the ice one winter and
catching a cold.
I have never had the chicken pox and did not get the
mumps until I was 27 when my nephew happen to get
them. I made up for it by being pretty sick by then.
Your immune system kind of goes down hill as
the number of years climb. ;-)

So what is left to bloom around the front
acre, not having a back forty.

A small, puny Sedum that the deers decided to leave me.
They chomped off the rest planted near the woods,
and I foolishly thinking that deers did not like them.
They have been munching on everything here lately.

Some of the Rose Lobelia that was sheared of is coming
back with a few blooms, along with a few Morning
Glory bush blooms.

The Rainbow Knockout Rose is getting loaded once
again with blooms. It just keeps on going like that
energizer bunny.

The Alyssum is still so pretty and thanks to Tootsie
I now know where the seeds are.

The white peach leafed campanula decided to put
on a few more blooms.

The pink Adonis phlox is putting on some
more blooms but she had to be sprayed for mold.
I love it but it has really been bad this cool summer
to keep away the mold or mildew.

Marine Helitrope

My faithful Black Leafed Rosey geraniums.

The birds must have brought me this new
Morning Glory vine which is blooming.

Happy Gardening Eveyone!

You've got some very colorful flowers blooming. Interesting you can still grow Alyssum in the summer... mine fizzles out as soon as the humidity hits in April.

Such pretty colors! Is the lobelia an annual or perennial?

My husband and I get flu shots every year, but we have a new school nurse, and I haven't heard whether they will be offered at work or not. I did end up with a flu in February of 2008. I missed 2 weeks of work. It was horrible to be so sick.

As I was looking at your excellent photos, I kept saying to myself, "Oh, I love that!" and now I'm trying to remember what the blooms were. Both of the morning glories were different from what I've seen, so I thought they were pretty cool.

The deer that live near my church love to eat the Autumn Joy sedums in the spring, but seem to leave them alone for the most part once they grow again.

You once asked what are good flowers to grow in late summer, but you have a lot of lovely things blooming still! Still no sign of flowers on my stock, but the seashell cosmos have tiny little flower buds hiding inside. Perhaps I will actually see a flower! My hydrangea flowers make look good, but the leaves look horrible. That's why I only do macro flowers shots of them. We see deer very nearby, but they never seem to come inside our subdivision, thank goodness. They've really been eating up your garden, haven't they? I have a bunny trying to live under my steps, cute, but he must go!

oh I love your flaunting!!! I love that you still have so much to share. Deer...poor things are eating anything they can chew these days..I feel bad for them.
But...they did leave you a little bit to share! Your gardens are always so inspiring. Thanks for linking in...hope you get loads of seed from that garden this year!
